I’ve always dabbled in art from as early as I can remember, maybe earlier, doing a little here and a little there. When we became empty-nesters, I decided to get a bit more serious, starting with murals of all things, then onto canvases, and then found I loved it, and now I don’t ever want to stop. Each new work is a new adventure.

I’ve been juried into Ventures in Creativity Show four years in a row, winning gift certificates the last three of those. I’ve done a number of commission works, all were a fun challenge, and happily accepted.

My art education beyond high school has been very informal, more like self-taught, plus whatever I have learned as a member of the local art guild and from asking lots of questions of other artists, and lots of reading in art magazines and books.

My other interests? Family and church are first, and with kids and grandkids, the family keeps growing, and with church callings life is busy. I teach piano and violin. I love to read.
